My position and that of the SPD group, I described to you as follows:
The planned
RWTH-campus extension is an absolutely important project for the city and region of Aachen and its future. The fears of local residents are taken seriously by us. Therefore must take place within the building plan procedure, weigh up the arguments and proposals of citizens. This is also in the development plan for the proposed route of "Campus Boulevard.
The traffic expert has recently in an event at the initiative of Aachen on 25 August found that as many new jobs should be created that the "Campus Boulevard" is required from today's perspective.
This means that a connection of the access road Direction Stiewistraße / Paris ring according to the expert's statements will be essential, otherwise the traffic load generated by the horn of rat runs from the campus would be very high.
